Finished

Artists

Kumi Sugai, Hisao Domoto
The third installment of The Kido Press Story takes a special look at the work of Kumi Sugai (1919–1996) and Hisao Domoto (1928–2013), two internationally renowned artists who had a major impact on Japan’s postwar galleries. Reconsider their trailblazing, powerful methods of printmaking and the relationships between their paintings and prints through prints of theirs from the 1980s.
