The Gunma Nomo Group was one of several avant-garde art collectives to emerge all over Japan in the 1960s. Based in Maebashi, it explored the relationships between art and society through group art production. The works of Gunma Nomo Group and documents related to it are on display in the first exhibition to tell its full story.
