Trans / Real: The Potential of Intangible Art Vol. 5
This event has ended.
Following the “Trans/Modern” exhibitions 1,2, and 3, which looked at the potential of painting and sculpture today, “Trans Real” (the final two shows in this “quartet”) explores how the world can be encountered through art forms using sound, light, video, and the body.
Media are necessary tools for grasping the world around us, and this process invariably generates “noise” through the flow of information. If the “real” is a tangible feel for the world, then “noise” is evidence, the texture of this world. This show adopts a more flexibly logical framework through the radical notion that post-medium equates to post-noise.
