ART+COM, Rhizomatiks Research
Art+Com and Rhizomatiks Research are two organizations that combine the field of media art with space design and entertainment in order to adapt forms of expression from the realm of art and make them function in society. Their interdisciplinary teamwork is carried out by professionals working across the board, including artists, designers, programmers and product designers, with diverse backgrounds in architecture, mathematics and engineering. Experiments in technical development are conducted in their respective research departments, and new art expressions forged from this. With a 20 year career behind them, both Art+Com and Rhizomatiks are at a point where they share a strong interest in each others’ work.
This exhibition will present spectacular works by these two groups, using the themes “poetics” and “structure” to explore how they express characteristic elements such as light and motion. See for yourself how these elements are extracted via the fusion of light and video in real space right before your eyes.
