Genichiro Inokuma
An exhibition of works from Genichiro Inokuma’s first photo book “Walls in N.Y.C.” published by the Marugameshi Inokumagenichirogendai Museum in January. Inokuma took these photographs in New York in the 1950s and 1960s, capturing graffiti and striped-away posters on walls with a 35 mm color polaroid, dividing them into slide mount files as their own “walls.” While the book features 57 of these files, all 154 are displayed here. There will also be a talk by photographer Risaku Suzuki, who edited Genichiro’s book, and Masuo Kuroda, who designed it.
