Tsunemitsu Tanaka
In his work Tsunemitsu Tanaka expresses the sensations and landscapes he experiences in the mountains. Instead of capturing scenes with photography, he considers it important to enter the mountains and hike around before producing works based the thoughts he has there. For Tanaka, there is a “sparkle” in the mountains that cannot be expressed easily, the best way to convey this being directly on the canvas.
