World Book Design 2016-17 feat. Book Design of the Czech Republic in the 21st Century

P&P Gallery
Finished
This exhibit features some 200 books, including books of superior design from Japan, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Canada, China, and the Czech Republic, as well as books accepted for the “Best Books From All Over the World” 2017 competition, which is hosted in March each year at the Leipzig Book Fair. There are books whose binding, printing, and typography are flawlessly designed in a traditional manner, as well as many surprisingly unconventional books. All the books on display make you realize just how impressive the level of design and bookbinding techniques are today.
2017 is the “Year of Czech Culture in Japan,” so in addition to the works awarded at “Nejkrásnější české knihy roku 2016,” there will be a special section that focuses on Czech book design of the 21st century, introducing around 50 books in total.
*Some limited editions will not be on exhibit; this is not a complete exhibition of all of the prize-winning titles.
