Daniel Stempfer
Born in Austria in 1985, Daniel Stempfer attended Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main, graduating with the title of Meisterschüler - representing his achievements while studying under professor Willem de Rooij - in 2013. Currently he is based between Frankfurt and Berlin, his major activities in recent years including participation in exhibitions at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Seoul), W139 (Amsterdam), Museum für Moderne Kunst (Frankfurt) and Independent Art Spaces Festival (Beijing). Stempfer’s sculptures and installations invite viewers to experience momentary, ephemeral events and the traces they leave behind, bearing witness to the variety of sometimes inconsistent stories that are are left in their wake. This exhibition is the culmination of Stempfer’s two month residency at Ongoing Air.
