Kenji Sato
Sato Kenshi is a photographer that pursues “strange things” from around the world with a archivist-like aesthetic approach. He has visited over 100 countries to date and shot a wide range of unusual people and places, also documenting bizarre folklore - from Japan’s “mare” festivals to the localized celebrations of ethnic minorities in the Extreme North - and ruins of the world as seen from space.
This exhibition gathers selected scenes taken from his works that have been published to date, including the series of masterpieces, “The Wonderland’s Heritage.” In addition, there will be some as yet unpublished works on show. Prepare to marvel at our weird and wonderful world as Sato sees it.
