Around 80 of Fumio Matsutani’s latest works exploring his artistic approach will be presented here, in his first exhibition at the gallery in two years.

“Shinjuku is the place where adults loiter.” These were the words spoken by Nobel Prize-winning writer Yasunari Kawabata at the opening of Shinjuku Kyo Kaiseki Kakiden restaurant. Located 1-minute walk from Shinjuku Station, the restaurant’s gallery is a modern gallery designed by popular architect Yukio Hashimoto. Kakiden Gallery sells and exhibits ceramics, lacquerware, dyeing and weaving work, metalwork, paintings, and glass crafts.
