Yuta Takenouchi
Having graduated from the Tama Art University Department of Ceramic, Glass, and Metal Works, Yuta Takenouchi bases his practice on the use of ceramic techniques, producing work according to his own unique approach. It can be said that he often works with smaller unit-like pieces that are then stacked together to constitute larger works. As has been observed by curator Mare Isakari, this division of the work into smaller parts is necessary in order for the idea conceived to be realized using ceramics. This solo exhibition will present three-dimensional work together with drawings created by the artist during the production process, allowing viewers deeper insight into his working method.
