Keiichi Tahara
Keiichi Tahara is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Kimura Ihei Award, the Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters (French Ministry of Culture), and the Grand Prix de la Ville de Paris. His means of expression includes media such as sculpture and installation, as well as photography. This exhibition will present “Les mains (Hands),” his topical series focusing on hands that was unveiled in Lyon, France in 2015, for the first time in Japan. Viewers are invited to experience the whole venue space, which incorporates sand spread across the floor surface and lasers that create light prisms.
