Le Studio is a 40-seater private cinema located on the 10th floor of Maison Hermès Ginza. The 2017 film program is organized around the theme, “Le Sense du Objet.” It will kick of this April with the fantasy feature “Alice,” a film replete with wonderfully strange objects. “Alice” tells the story of a young girl who finds herself lost in an eerie, mysterious and magical world after chasing after a rabbit. Based on Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland,” it is a feature-length film by Czech animation director Jan Švankmajer that uses a combination of live action and stop motion animation. Explore his strange outdoor wonderland inhabited by lovably odd characters and mysterious objects such as a baguette bristling with nails, a sock caterpillar, a wig that scuttles about, and a pocket watches drenched in butter.
