Leonardo Da Vinci: Approaching the 500th Anniversary of His Death

Leonardo Da Vinci died in 1519. His achievements include masterpiece paintings such as The Last Supper as well as a vast number of hand-written manuscripts. These manuscripts, which Da Vinci spent decades producing, record his research and drawings on fields is diverse as mechanical engineering, aerodynamics, astronomy, geometry, architecture, anatomy, and the natural sciences. This exhibition introduces some of the incredible inventions he envisioned in these manuscripts, with 60 large models based on his plans: a glider, tank, mechanical drum, and spring-powered automobile are among the displays.
