Guardian Garden
Finished

Artists

Mieko Matsumoto
Ibaraki-based photographer Mieko Matsumoto’s work has been featured at Art Tower Mito and Ichihara x Art Mix. Since 2014 she has been researching and documenting the history, industry, and social phenomena of her local area. Here she presents a new slideshow of works taken directly after the 2011 earthquake up through the present. Her images tell a story woven from human memory and the passage of time that speaks to what changes and what doesn’t when events that alter place and circumstance in the face of limited human power occur.
