Operated by a subsidiary of Kawashima Selkon Textiles School Co., Ltd., Kawashima Textile School teaches dyeing and weaving. Students exhibit their achievements in hand weaving and hand dyeing in Kyoto every March, with some works selected for the “Kawashima Textile School” exhibition held in Tokyo thereafter. On this occasion, a variety of student works including kimono, tapestries, scarves, rugs, garments and so on will be presented. This event is perfectly suited to the current season, with items reminiscent of spring and early summer, such as rugs with flowers blooming on grasslands that sway in the wind.
