43rd AJAC Exhibition - Contemporary Art from Japan and the rest of the World

Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum
Finished
The All Nations & Japan Artists’ Cooperation (AJAC) is an organization for contemporary artists that was established in 1972 by art critic Shuzo Takiguchi and others. At this year’s Tokyo exhibition, which marks the AJAC’s 40th anniversary, three special exhibitions will be presented in addition to more than 150 new works by 80 different artists. One of the special exhibitions will focus on exchanges with overseas artists, building on the popularity of this portion of the event last year.
Furthermore, a brand new work by OpenArtCode - a Florence, Italy based artist collective - will be shown publicly for the very first time. It is the second time that this art group, organized by Studio Abba, has participated in the exhibition. On September 27, Nam Hong, one of the OpenArtCode members, will showcase an original dance performance that was previously presented in Venice.
