Utrecht presents “Volcano,” an exhibition by neo-manga artist Yuichi Yokoyama. It shows for the first time in Tokyo works from his same-titled series debuted at the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art in the exhibition “The World is Strange!: The Manga and Painting of Tiger Tateishi and Yuichi Yokoyama.” Presented here on large panel displays and as original sketches, “Volcano”draws from Tateishi’s work while evolving into its own story.
