This event has ended.
Devised as an art form for the masses, Pop Art was a whirlwind movement that quite literally took off. Enthusiasm spread around the globe the instant it hit the New York scene at the start of the 1960s. It has been 50 years since the whirlwind struck, and Pop Art is as popular as ever. This exhibition will showcase prints that give you a true sense of what was happening in New York, including works by Andy Warhol, the father of Pop Art, and queen of the avant-garde Yayoi Kusama, who continues to influence the contemporary art scene.
