Artists

Nao Takahata
Nao Takahata creates stylish yet incredibly playful picture books where stories unfold with a generous helping of bizarre and surprising nonsense. These are rendered in light brush strokes using vivid color combinations, the bold compositions offering a level of detail that invites giggling and laughter. In this exhibition she will present original illustrations featured in her latest works “Daruma” and “It’s manekineko!” as well as a video that shows her at work in her studio. Roughly 200 rough sketches and original pieces will be introduced here.
