The situation of disabled people in the field of performing arts is beginning to attract attention ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. Slow Movement was formed in 2015 by a group of diverse individuals that transcends boundaries of age, gender, nationality and disability. It looks to support disabled performers and develop the surrounding environment by advancing training and improving the human resources available. This event will introduce the next stage of the group’s undertaking based on their activities so far.

1. “Wonder of View”
A contemporary circus of interwoven bodies.

2. “Even If You Can Hear, Even If You Can’t Hear: Dance Theater”

Forum (with simultaneous sign language interpretation)
Ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, this forum will explore the situation of disabled people in performing arts.
Speakers: Yoshie Kirisu (director of Slow Label), Shohei Shibata (producer of Stopgap Dance Company), Kaoru Sugano (group creative director and creative technologist of CDC/Dentsu Lab Tokyo
