The exhibitions presenting this year’s works have been organized through an alliance between the Japan Typography Association and the New York Type Directors Club. This Applied Typography 27 exhibition features the highest-rated works from among the entries received from Japan and elsewhere by the Japan Typography Association, including this year’s grand prize winner and best works. Experience firsthand the power and detail of the graphics, the heft and feel of the packaging, and the exquisite bookbinding and spacing of the editorial designs, as well as the physical presence of the works seen up close, something photos can’t convey.
The 63rd New York Type Directors Club exhibition, which will run from May 23 to June 23, will bring together in Mihoncho Honten works selected from among the many entries submitted for the competition from around the world.
