Again-st is an artist collective established in 2012 formed of artists working with sculpture, art critics that specialize in sculpture and designers working on the floor of art exhibition spaces. It addresses the question of whether sculpture retains it effectiveness, exploring it from the perspective of those making the works, those critiquing the works and those presenting the works to the public. Through a series of exhibitions and talk events they have encouraged people to rethink the current state of sculpture in Japan. Alongside this exhibition, a collection of documents summarizing the activities of Again-st will also be published.
