As the subtitle indicates, this exhibition will feature art spanning four decades, starting with Shigeo Toya’s 1986 work “Something There,” which explored a new formalism in sculpture after the materialism of 1970s Mono-ha, through to Yoriko Takabatake’s latest 2017 work, which opens up new possibilities in painting.
