This event has ended.

The style of painting known as Tingatinga appeared in Tanzania, East Africa in the 1960s, originating from the practice of painter Edward Saidi Tingatinga, who established the school in just four short years. After his death, Tingatinga’s followers continued to work using his techniques, skillfully utilizing six basic colors to dynamically depict colorful animals.
