The Eyes of Photojournalist Hiromi Nagakura - Crawl and Run Towards the Future

Tokyo Photographic Art Museum
Finished

Artists

Hiromi Nagakura
Hiromi Nagakura has spent the last 37 years traveling to conflict zones and remote areas throughout the globe, documenting the lives of the people living there. His photographs convey a sense of what is important on the ground, rather than being preoccupied with economic details and getting swept away with an abundance of information. Nagakura believes that, regardless of the age we are in, it is only by looking carefully at people that we can come to see the next era and the new world. It is this that his photographs express. Approximately 200 works capturing our turbulent times will be presented here, including some of Nagakura’s best known images and his recent work.
