Masahiro Masuda
To create his silkscreens of layered and subtly distorted images, Masahiro Masuda photographs a subject, then projects the image onto the place where he first photographed it before capturing the subject again, repeating this process multiple times. This promising young artist held multiple exhibitions while still in university, was awarded the Turner Award Grand Prize in 2012, and received the Golden Competition Grand Prize and the 1st CAF Award in 2014. This exhibition is his first solo show in four years and his first since finishing graduate school at Tokyo University of the Arts.
