Artists

Joan Cornella
Joan Cornella is a Spanish cartoonist and illustrator famous for his unsettling, surreal style and darkly humorous comic strips, as well as artwork he produced for American band Wilco’s album “Schmilco,” which was released in September 2016 and became a hot topic around the world. Simple yet eccentric visuals are central to Cornella’s approach. At times his works are considered disturbing or flat-out offensive, but through them he explores our unnatural connection to social media, as well as political topics such as abortion, addiction and gender issues - no subject being off limits. There is a potent message embodied in Cornella’s art, his incredibly entertaining works encouraging the viewer to think about sincere topics.
