Gotiingham “Space for Others”

Cage Gallery
Finished

Artists

Gottingham, Hideyuki Nakayama
Focusing his practice on collaborative works and commissioned projects, Gottingham is a photographer who experiments with expressive fields such as art, design, and media, creating works with ambiguous narratives. His approach, which places emphasis on “transformation” as one manifestation of ambiguity, develops various derivative works, including installations, examples of web design, and advertising publications, while attempting to expand the boundaries of the mythical concept of creation as well as the uniqueness of works and artists.
This exhibition is composed of part of a series of photographs born of a collaboration with architect Hideyuki Nakayama. In the series, Gottingham explores paranormal sensations stimulated by architectural space and how the
exacting design of light and shadow can amplify micro narratives.
