Masaya Nakahara
This is Masaya Nakahara’s first exhibition at this gallery, and his first solo show in Japan in five years. Known widely as a noise musician that goes by the stage names Violent Onsen Geisha and Hair Stylistics, Nakahara is also a novelist who has received awards such as the Mishima Yukio Prize and the Noma Literary New Face Prize, and a visual artist whose practice centers on collage and painting. This exhibition will introduce new paintings, drawings, collages, videos and works incorporating sound by this interdisciplinary creator.
