Resist/Refuse is a collaboration between researcher Georg Tremmel and the Austria-based ceramic artist Matthias Tremmel. During World War II, ceramic biological bombs were used for biological warfare by delivering rats, which carried fleas, which in turn carried deadly bacteria. Resist/Refuse re-imagines and re-creates these ceramic biological bombs, repairs them with the Japanese kintsugi method, and symbolically undos the harm of the deadly bacteria by growing antibiotics in them.
