Shimekazari are Shinto rice straw rope decorations displayed in shrines and homes. Musashino Art University graduate Sumako Mori has researched hundreds of shimekazari and now presents an exhibition of around 100 examples from across Japan, offering a valuable chance to observe the diversity of forms and designs displayed by these objects integral to people’s lives and prayers.
