Hong Kong Comix Touring Exhibition

3331 Arts Chiyoda
Finished
Can comics only be ‘read’? Why can’t we ‘play’ with comics? As a unique comics branch in the world, Hong Kong comics has been developing rapidly in the past 60 years, becoming more and more diverse and ‘playful’ especially in the last decade. To promote this ‘playfulness’ to overseas audiences, Hong Kong Arts Centre proudly presents PLAY! Hong Kong Comix Touring Exhibition, showcasing the history and development of Hong Kong comics from the 1960s to the present. After touring to Brussels (Belgium) and Helsinki (Finland) in September 2017, the exhibition is hopping over to Tokyo (Japan) in November. Aside from the exhibition, local comics artists and professionals Ahto, Lai Tat Tat Wing and Andy Seto will greet readers from around the world by hosting talk, live drawing demonstrations, and autograph sessions. Let’s play together in the playground of Hong Kong comics, and play forward to the future of Hong Kong comics!
