This event is a collaboration between Shoko Ishibashi, CEO and coordinator of Tea Songs, a creative group leading the next generation of tea producers in Shizuoka, and Paku Paku An’s CEO and art director Keigo Ishibashi. It will present works by six local artists and offer a new manner by which to experience the depths of sencha tea.
Shizuoka Prefecture is Japan’s main producer of tea. Among the producers there, it is Tea Songs that it driving the new generation of Shizuoka tea manufacturers. The group has twice previously been paired with ceramicist Masako Niimi at “Tensai 108,” a tea event held at Zojoji Temple, and their Teicha tea has become very popular.
In addition to presenting the works of various artists who explore new ways to enjoying tea, there will be a workshop organized by Shoko Ishibashi of Tea Songs.
