Yuri Tsuiki

Solo exhibition by Yuri Tsuiki, winner of the 11th Daikokuya Contemporary Art Competition Award. Tsuiki uses various materials in her work, such as plaster, clay, wood, silicon, bronze, and stone. She is interested less in objects themselves, than in the transformative properties they hold in terms of spatio-temporal relationships between spaces, people, and objects. In working with various materials, Tsuiki brings a unique sculptural quality to these works that manipulate and reconstruct various abstract elements. This exhibition will center on plaster mold sculptures, displaying around 25 new works, including reliefs and others pieces.

Venue: Itamuro Onsen Daikokuya
The artist will be present at the gallery every Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Oct. 18 (Wed).
