Miwa Komatsu
July 27 marks the first anniversary of Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho, and a work produced by Miwa Komatsu in a live performance held at the space in August 2016, just after the opening, has been added the Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho permanent collection almost one year on. This exhibition - the largest solo exhibition Komatsu in Tokyo to date - celebrates the collection. Approximately 50 works, including the masterpiece “48th day” and “Keep on glowing, keep on walking,” will be showcased.

Komatsu is the artist behind the work presented as that of the talented painter Ren (played by young actress Aoi Morikawa) in the film “Flower and Sword,” which was released in theaters on June 3. To mark the release of this film, an exhibition titled “Miwa Komatsu, Works for Film” will be held simultaneously in the Kioicho Tower 2F office entrance. Approximately 10 small pieces, including paintings that featured in the film, will be on display.
