Artists

Bradley Eros, Elektra KB, Jason Akira Somma, Joel Schlemowitz, M.M.Serra
In her first curation project at Tav Gallery, Mio Nakai, a young curator specializing in video art, introduces the work of five New York based avant-garde video artists. Get a sense of the true value of such a collection of video works, each exploring fiction and ambiguity under the exhibition title “Faketopia,” most of which are appearing in Japan for the first time. Elektra KB is the Ukraine-born artist behind the main image being used to promote this exhibition. The work it’s taken from is based on the idea that water is a physical and symbolic mirror symbolizing us. The installation, which was first presented at Spring / Break Art show in 2017, will be reproduced here.
