Setsu Nagasawa
Creating flamboyant drawings with a unique aesthetic sense, Setsu Nagasawa (1917-1999) was a leader in the world of fashion illustration in Japan. His “Setsu Aesthetics” take an idiosyncratic approach unconstrained by stereotypes and have inspired young students at Setsu Mode Seminar art school to consider different ways of thinking and living. To celebrate 100 years since Nagasawa’s birth, this exhibition will present an overview of “Setsu Aesthetics.” The works on display will change during the exhibition period.
