Hiroko Masuko’s works are unique in the way they depict images of small bonsai trees in monochromatic tones. In these works the image making process used by the artist is overlaid with bonsai - the Japanese art that uses human intervention to create new forms in nature. This is Masuko’s fifth solo exhibition at the gallery, and eight new artworks titled “Bonsai Skin” will be exhibited.
