Artists

Raymond Savignac
Raymond Savignac broke into the design world at the age of 28, when he showed Cassandre, Artistic Director of L’Alliance Graphique and the man behind the Yves Saint Laurent logo, his work. This was the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration. Producing many posters under Cassandre’s guidance, Savignac’s big break came at the age of 41 with his poster for Monsavon milk soap. From that day on the city of Paris was flooded with his colorful works, eliciting smiles from people in the streets. Later on Savignac emigrated to the port village Trouville, for which he produced many works. This exhibition will present a selection of original artwork and posters, some of which will be available for purchase.
