Artists

Hiroyuki Oki
Presenting new works by video artist Hiroyuki Oki, who since the 1990s has been working with a variety of cultural institutions, mainly in Tokyo and Kochi, to create works with a focus on place. His HD films carving out scenes from everyday life affirmatively grasp the world we live in, allowing the viewer to discover new perspectives.
The title of this exhibition, “LTBT,” replaces “gay” in LGBT with “troll” (as in an internet troll). Oki states, “I want to create an interesting show. Light is hope, light is a fragment of time.” The artist will publically create works during the main part of the exhibition from December 1 through December 19. Visitors are invited to act as performers and continue the process of recording “LTBT – Possible/Impossible Light.” Previous films and drawings by Oki are also exhibited.
