The National Art Center, Tokyo (NACT) will celebrate its 10th anniversary on January 21(Sat), 2017. To celebrate we will be organizing a number of special events at The NACT from January 20 (Fri) to 30 (Mon). We would like to invite you to The NACT to help us celebrate and experience the wonderful world of art and all of its diversity. A priority of The NACT is to provide a venue where anyone can come to experience the amazing world of art and artistic expression, providing opportunity to find knowledge and inspiration.

Special exhibitions
Special exhibitions will be held during the 10th anniversary celebrations.
Date: January 20(Fri) to 30(Mon), 2017 ※Closed on January 24(Tue)
During the 10th Anniversary celebrations there will be two special exhibitions held at the NACT, “NACT Colors” with Emmanuelle Moureaux’s wonderful colors installation and an amazing video installation by Takashi Ishida.
Special Programs
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of The NACT, we are planning a variety of events with something for everyone to enjoy.
1. Symposium 1: Museum and Mass Media
Date: January 21 (Sat) 13:00-17:30 (Doors open at 12:30)
Venue: 3F Auditorium
Language: Japanese only
Capacity: Limited to 260, no registration required
2. Symposium 2: Reconsidering on Archival Tendencies
New trends in contemporary art and art museums
Date: January 28 (Sat) 13:00-17:30 (Doors open at 12:30)
Venue: Special Exhibition Gallery 1E
Language: Japanese only
Capacity: Limited to 100, no registration required
3. Artist Workshop: SPREAD
Date: January 29 (Sun) 13:00-17:00
Venue: Special Exhibition Gallery 1E and (Annex building) 3F multipurpose room
Target: General public (Junior high school students and older)
Capacity: Limited to 20, registration required
Language: Japanese only
