Artists

SPREAD, Hiroki Saitoh, You Akioka
This 6th workshop to be organized in collaboration with Meguro Persimmon Hall invites participants to look back over their life so far, thinking about how they have spent their time to date, in order to express what they find through paint and instruments of their choice. The workshop will be led by Hirokazu Kobayashi and Haruna Yamada of the creative unit Spread. This unit has received international recognition for its activities both in Japan and overseas at events such as Milano Salone, and seen Kobayashi and Yamada compose music for various platforms including commercials, films, online platforms and events. They will be joined by musician Hiroki Saito, who is active in many fields and known for his original compositions, as well as music scholar and historian You Akioka, an expert on music from all eras the world over. Here you can discover what kinds of colors, shapes, and sounds emerge from your life so far.
