This exhibition marking the 20th anniversary of the death of Masuo Ikeda, an artist of ceaselessly transforming technique and style, presents around 20 copperplate prints and lithographs from throughout his career on the theme of “Butoh, Dance, Body,” a subject of ongoing interest to Ikeda since the beginning of his close relationship with Butoh dancer Tatsumi Hijikata. Works depicting the gymnasts of the Atlanta Olympics are also on special display.
