Benjamin Langholz “Complexity 0.1”

Design Festa Gallery Harajuku
Finished

Artists

Benjamin Langholz
This exhibition sees Benjamin Langholz creating an installation in the Design Festa Gallery East first floor toilet. He has used modern kinbaku (Japanese rope bondage) techniques to suspend mirrors and create a space that gives visitors the feeling of being constricted without being touched. As a uniquely private and safe public space, a toilet is the ideal place for such an experience.

Langholz is an artist from Los Angeles that has spent the last two years traveling. He currently lives in Tokyo and studies rope bondage techniques with Kinoko Hajime.
