This exhibition will present mainly painting works by Swiss artist Miriam Cahn, who is participating in Documenta 14, which will be held this year in Athens, Greece from April, and in Kassel, Germany from June. Established in Germany in 1955 and held every five years, Documenta is one of the world’s largest international exhibitions and will be celebrating its 14th edition this year. In Athens, Cahn is presenting an installation comprised of artworks and poetry displayed throughout the exhibition space. A work initially presented by German artist Gregor Schneider in 2005, which takes the sacred Islamic Kaaba building and St. Mark’s Square in Venice as its theme, will also be on display. In addition, Schneider, who will participate in Fast Forward Festival, another event held in Athens from May, will unveil a new work that will reconstruct a corner of an outdoor plaza into a shelter that can be monitored by services such as GoogleMaps and be hidden from aggressors.
