In the world that Anibal Catalan produces in his artworks, space expands and contracts as if it were breathing; cities appear to be repeatedly created and destroyed, his use of colors accentuating the structures that form his world. In this exhibition - the artist’s first solo show in Japan - Catalan attempts to express the relationship between natural forms of elevation and greatness and architecture as a growing and expanded field. The installation will incorporate a selection of paintings, works on paper and video.
