Takeo Hanazawa
Takeo Hanazawa reinterprets Jean-Honoré Fragonard’s “Progress of Love,” creating a series of work full of humor that incorporates superimposed images of insect mating rituals. View each of the individual narratives or dances in context of the world from which they are taken, be it the mask of the Peacock Spider or the beautiful form of Vaslav Nijinsky’s faun. Various elements that have featured in the construction of works produced over the last decade will also be on exhibit. Enjoy this installation where art history intersects with pop art and the admiration for beauty.
