This event has ended.

Yigal Ozeri is a New York-based Israeli artist best known for his large-scale cinematic portraits of young women. Drawing upon the legacy of the Photorealist School, his genre-transcending oil paintings depict women captured in single moments in time, surrounded by nature. His paintings are influenced by artists from the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, such as John Everett Millais, and Dante Gabriel Rossetti. The unique skill present in the worldview of his work emerges in its fusion of such allegorical situations, imaginativeness, and graceful refinement, with an utterly contemporary sense of reality. “Erasing Photography” marks Ozeri’s first-ever show in Japan. His artworks showcase Lizzie Jagger, European model Zuzanna, and Japanese DJ/model Kaopang, the first model of Asian decent to be used as a model for his works. Around 15 painted works and five sketches will be featured.
