Hachioji Yume Art Museum
Finished

Artists

Adolphe Mouron Cassandre
France-based A.M. Cassandre (1901-1968) was one of the 20th century’s most influential graphic designers. The dynamic posters Cassandre created in the 1920s and 1930s were a highly innovative presence on urban streets and had a significant impact on subsequent advertising art. Showcasing some of his best-known works, this exhibition of posters from the collection of Ba-Tsu fashion designer Ruki Matsumoto explores the art of Cassandre, who sought compelling collisions between cities and advertising.
